Management training for dental technicians UMD Professional provides distance learning management modules for dental technicians that have been designed to help develop relevant management knowledge and practical skills for technicians, whether you work on your own running your own business or are in a larger laboratory setting. They aim to give technicians with management responsibilities greater confidence across a range of management activities that you may be involved in. Each module provides 8 hours of verifiable CPD and you have a month in which to complete the module. The distance learning approach means that you can study modules at your own pace within that time frame and you will also have the support of a tutor by phone, email or online to help you with your study and who will provide feedback for the work you submit at the end of the month to gain your verifiable CPD hours. You can also group together the modules to gain a management qualification awarded by ILM. There is no exam for the qualification; instead it is assessed by a series of work-based assignments which link with the modules you choose to take.
