Management training for law firm compliance officers

With a sharpening of the focus on management in an increasingly regulated legal environment, UMD Professional, in partnership with legal training company, Warner Consulting, has developed a year long management training programme specifically designed to help those with compliance responsibilities ensure compliance in their firms.

The course can be taken as a comprehensive stand-alone compliance management course but also leads to the Level 7 Certificate in Leadership and Management, awarded by ILM, a nationally recognised management qualification.

The course is available as a workshop and webinar-based programme or via distance learning.

Workshop programme
A participative workshop programme based around quarterly workshops held in London and Manchester combined with one to one support and monthly webinars. The workshops provide not just input from the tutors, but also involve management exercises, case studies, discussions and group work. There is no exam; to achieve the qualification candidates need to complete successfully a series of work-based assignments based on their work within their firm. Distance Learning programme
A distance learning option is available for those unable to attend a workshop-based course. This is a one year programme and comprises monthly study modules, video material and webinars, combined with regular support by telephone and e-mail from a dedicated tutor.
