Executive Strategy Clinics

The UMD Hands-On Executive Strategy Clinics provide an opportunity for dentists and senior practice managers to explore and develop advanced strategic thinking and planning skills, and to enable them to plan for and respond to the continually changing dental environment.

Whether your own plans are well-advanced or whether you feel that this is an opportune time to review and get feedback on your practice's business plan, then this clinic can help you to develop your own strategic planning skills further, and benefit from a forum for informed discussion and feedback.

The workshops

The two-day workshops run from Friday 2pm to 10pm and from Saturday 9am to 4pm, with both a residential and non-residential option. They are facilitated by Fiona Stuart-Wilson and Sheila Scott and will cover the following areas:

1. Strategic thinking - advanced skills and techniques.
2. A review of the likely changes in dentisty over the next 5-10 years and how this affects practices.
3. Building value in your dental practice.
4. Individual discussion on developing your own business plan further.

Saturday's workshop will also include optional sessions covering:

1. Developing a marketing plan.
2. Practical change management within your practice.
3. Business risk management.
4. The role and responsibilities of dental company directors.

The workshops provide 13 hours of verifiable CPD.

Fees:

Fees for the two-day workshops:
£570 (£500 plus VAT) for the non-residential option
£670 inc VAT for the residential option.
