Team for Dental Technicians

Fiona
Stuart-Wilson leads the training team for dental technicians. She is a Director of
UMD Professional and an experienced senior manager within both the
public and private sectors. She has worked with a large number of
dental practices and laboratories around the UK for over 20 years, and
is an experienced trainer and facilitator, assisting more than 600
practices in achieving the Investors in People standard. She was for eleven years Associate
Editor of the BDJ and series editor of the Better Dental Business
book series. She is also the author of many articles on dental business
management and a book on marketing in dental practice. She has spoken
widely at conferences in the UK and internationally on dental business. |

Mike Grace originally qualified as a dentist but his career also saw him involved in dental education at the London Hospital at King's London. Whilst Editor of the British Dental Journal for 14 years he championed the importance of effective management in dentistry and has been actively involved in management training for many years including management for laboratories and technicians. He is now Senior Assessor for UMD Professional and also acts as tutor.

Sandy
Horvath has extensive practical senior management experience,
and hands-on training experience. He has been working
in dentistry for many years in the arenas of
communications and people management, and is a tutor on the ILM Level 5 and 7 programmes.
He has authored a wide range of training and development programmes,
and is in demand for his communications and assertiveness workshops.
A qualified trainer of trainers, for the past eleven years he has
trained in mediation, conciliation, counselling skills, and interviewing
techniques, and dental teams around the country have benefited from
his considerable training skills and practical experience in people
management. |

Roger Lilley is a highly experienced manager who worked for many years for one of the UK's largest companies, covering a range of senior management roles in Sales, Business Development and International Marketing. He provides sales and marketing consultancy to a variety of businesses and is one of the tutors on UMD Professional's ILM management qualification courses. |
